The story

Inspired by petroglyphs carved into mountainsides in the desert. The story of the Arabian horse is thousands of years old, told in poetry, art and legend, and bound up with prophets, pashas, kings and queens across five continents. Its distinctive silhouette first appears in the art of ancient Egypt more than 3,500 years ago, but it was the Bedouin of the Arabian desert who created and refined the pure breed that exists today.

Nobility of spirit is its hallmark: the Arabic word for horse evokes walking with pride. The design shows two horses moving together. These petroglyphs date to between 10,000 and 7,500 BC and are located in Saudi Arabia.
