The story
Inspired by Nabataean inscriptions, spelling the word “Love” in the Nabataean script.
The Nabataean language was shaped by its history and geography. First used by Aramaic speakers, it drew heavily on Aramaic vocabulary and names; from the 4th century onwards it was increasingly used by Arabic speakers and began to draw from Arabic. Nabataean writings are found in the burial sites and dedication inscriptions of Petra, Bosra and Hegra, across Jordan, Syria and Saudi Arabia, and date back to the 2nd century BC.
